Fringe Windsor is produced by Windsor Feminist Theatre (WFT), a community led arts organisation rooted in Windsor, Ontario. WFT re-launched the festival in 2025 to give local and touring artists a stage that doesn't ask them to prove themselves to a panel first.

We're proud members of the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals (CAFF), which means the artists who land on our bill can take their show on the road. Edmonton, Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Hamilton, Ottawa, Montreal. Twenty-plus stops a year.

The model is simple. Lottery for artists. 100% of ticket revenue to the artist on stage.

The festival covers venues, marketing, infrastructure.

We acknowledge that we are on land and surrounded by water that is the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg people of the Three Fires Confederacy which includes the Ojibwe, Potawatomi, and Odawa.  Before Europeans arrived, the land along both sides of the river was referred to as Waawiyaatanong -- we are grateful to live, work and play in this area.

We give thanks to the land and water for sustaining us and honour the history and culture of all the Indigenous Peoples who have inhabited this area since time immemorial.
