About the show

Becoming Psychic

BY The Predella Studio

A skeptic starts having psychic experiences and spirals into a terrifying question: is this intuition — or psychosis? After accidentally meditating on vacation, Gada Jane finds herself talking to statues, consulting the DSM-5, and doing live readings with the audience.

Funny and unexpectedly moving, Becoming Psychic blends memoir, comedy, and ritual to explore belief, sanity, and what it means to trust your own experience.

We acknowledge that we are on land and surrounded by water that is the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg people of the Three Fires Confederacy which includes the Ojibwe, Potawatomi, and Odawa.  Before Europeans arrived, the land along both sides of the river was referred to as Waawiyaatanong -- we are grateful to live, work and play in this area.

We give thanks to the land and water for sustaining us and honour the history and culture of all the Indigenous Peoples who have inhabited this area since time immemorial.
